Incoming activity to LEO: PhD student Annamária Rákhel Hegedűs from Department of Mineralogy, Babes-Bolyai University Cluj-Napoca (Romania)

During my four-week CEEPUS mobility at Montanuniversität Leoben, I gained valuable experience and theoretical knowledge directly supporting my PhD research. I developed practical skills in micropaleontology and microfacies analysis through laboratory work with conodonts and radiolarians, as well as thin section analysis. I also attended specialized courses on siliceous sedimentary rocks and carbonate microfacies, which deepened my understanding of stratigraphy and depositional environments.

This experience was highly important for strengthening my methodological background, improving my analytical skills, and providing essential knowledge and techniques that will significantly contribute to the successful completion of my PhD thesis.
