The 19th National Congress of Geologists of Serbia, held at Bor Lake in early June, brought together Serbian geologists and early-career researchers who presented their latest scientific and professional achievements. Apart from a presentation of Prof. Kristina Šarić, network coordinator, the conference featured as many as 17 colleagues who had benefited from CEEPUS mobility grants and conducted significant research through these exchanges, the results of which were presented in their master’s theses and doctoral dissertations.
Among them were Prof. Dragana Životić, Prof. Vladimir Simić, Prof. Dejan Prelević, Prof. Dragan Milovanović, Assoc. Prof. Miloš Velojić, Assist. Prof. Katarina Bradić Milinović, Dr. Nevena Tomašević, Dr. Ana Mladenović, Dr. Natalija Batoćanin, Dr. Stefan Petrović, as well as PhD and MSc students: Jelena Stefanović, Milan Petrović, Marija Bjelogrlić, Filip Anđelković, and Branko Kostić. Prof. Vladica Cvetković – former Local CEEPUS Coordinator for Serbia, and Prof. Kristina Šarić – network coordinator, also pariticpated this significant scientific event. Their achievements clearly demonstrate the important role of the CEEPUS program in fostering academic development, promoting scientific excellence, and strengthening international cooperation in the geosciences.
