Reporting period for 2022/23: discovering gemstones of the EURO Geo-Sci success

We are summarizing our achievements and obstacles. We are also trying to find our greatest moments. And we all agree that our gemstone for 2022/23 was one semester mobility of MSc. student Kiara Prendi from University of Tirana (Albania), Faculty of Geology and Mining (https://ceepus.rgf.bg.ac.rs/?p=755). Kiara did a great laboratory work at University of Vienna (Austria), Faculty of Earth Sciences, Geography and Astronomy. She evidenced for the first time pure uraninite (UO2) within the carbonate-phosphatic formation, analyzed by SEM-EDX.
Additionally, Kiara’s mobility merged EURO Geo-Sci with the bilateral scientific project between Albania and Turkey: “Formation conditions and economic potentials of phosphorites: A correlation of the Upper Cretaceous formations of Turkey and Albania”, acronym: MINERAL which is funded by NASRI-TUBITAK.

Thank you, Kiara, for such contribution! Congratulations for your success!
