Incoming activity to LEO: PhD student Máté Biró from Eötvös Loránd University, Institute of Geology

The two months long exchange (January-February 2023) I spent in Leoben was a milestone experience for me as a young researcher in geoscience. Prior to everything I would like to notice, that the atmosphere was so comforting and accepting from the first day, which is uncompareable to any of my previous experiences working abroad. Besides the helpfulness and kindness I received from the colleagues the possibility to use the EPMA-laboratory during these two months provided me with a dataset, that will hopefully result in more joint publications, and will also support the completion of my PhD thesis. Thus, I would state the scholarship fulfilled all its designated purposes: besides helping the integration and co-operation of Middle-European universities and researchers it helped me to achieve a great development in my early academic career too.
