Incoming activity to CRA: PhD student Aurela Jahja from Faculty of Geology and Mining (Tirana)

My most positive experience with the CEEPUS exchange at Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Institute of Geological Sciences, was participating in the laboratory work of chemical analysis. During the period of mobility at Jagiellonian University, I had the opportunity to participate in the realization of some laboratory work, especially in measuring major, minor and trace elements. Also, another positive experience was creating new connections and collaborations with colleagues from the Institute, specifically for measuring dissolved and released gases in geothermal waters in Albania. This is a significant issue for my doctoral research work. Therefore, scientific collaborations await us in the future. During my stay at the institute with CEEPUS exchange, I had the opportunity to access Jagiellonian University’s online library through the university’s website. By opening an account in my name, I was able to access new online literature and download many of them. This helped me a lot in the literature study phase for the topic of my doctorate “Geochemical and Isotopic Characterization of Geothermal Waters in Albania and Evaluation of their Genesis”. Another very important positive impact of CEEPUS Exchange is having the opportunity to meet new people from different countries, especially PhD students like me, and to share our work experiences. CEEPUS Exchange allowed me to get to know the culture, history and traditions of a fantastic city, such as Krakow.
