From September 22 to October 21 ,2025, Institute of Geosciences of Faculty of Mining, Ecology, Process Control and Geotechnologies TUKE had the pleasure of hosting Assistant Professor Dr. Vojtěch Wertich from Masaryk University, Brno (Czech Republic). Dr. Wertich, an expert in economic geology and geological modelling, conducted a series of practical courses for our students focused on: Fundamentals of 3D Geological Modelling in Leapfrog Geo, Exercises and Basic Geological Models/Functions, Comprehensive 3D Training Model and Resource Modelling, Work with Archival Exploration, Geospatial, and GIS Data. Throughout his stay, Dr. Wertich provided consultations and evaluations of student projects, guiding them on effective presentation and visualization of geological models. His visit significantly contributed to enhancing the students’ practical skills in geological modelling and strengthened academic cooperation between FBERG TUKE and Masaryk University.
