Incoming activity to ZAG 2: MSc student Selma Ćatić from Faculty of Mining, Geology and Civil Engineering, University of Tuzla (Bosnia and Herzegovina)

I decided to spend the beginning of my master studies in Zagreb through CEEPUS mobility. As I have already been part of successful CEEPUS mobilitiy projects two times, it’s the opportunity I’m always looking forward to apply again. As part of my mobility I’m attending lectures of the new study program – TIMREX project. I am so grateful for it because I met people from all over the World. We truly have a great time studying together and getting to know each other’s culture. I also have the opportunity to do laboratory work for my master’s thesis at the Department of Mineralogy, Petrology and Mineral Resources. Thanks to last year’s CEEPUS mobility, I’ve attended field trips through which I’ve found the topic for my master’s thesis research – Pogari formation of the Bosnian flysch. So far I’ve done microanalysis and preparing samples for XRD analysis. My deepest gratitude goes to the staff of the faculty for their interest and patience.

CEEPUS mobility project is offering a lot of things for a student and I’m very happy to be a part of it.
