My one-month stay at Masaryk University Brno in Czechia, facilitated by CEEPUS EURO Geo-Sci mobility program, proved invaluable for both my research and professional development.  The university’s excellent facilities enabled me to conduct high-quality chemical measurements and textural photos of selected minerals from samples from the Ochtin\u00e1-Rochovce granite (Western Carpathians, Slovakia). This data is a critical step towards the completion of my PhD thesis, providing me with key insights into the genesis of the granite and associated Mo-W porphyry mineralization. Beyond the laboratory work, the collaborative environment was enriching. Exchanges with the operating staff at the EPMA (Department of Geological Sciences) and LA-ICP-MS (Department of Chemistry) gave me precious insights on my acquired data. My time within the Department of Geological Sciences was enriched by the chance to meet fellow geologists, exchange on our research, and explore the local geology through discussions and a field trip. CEEPUS coordinators supported me well during the process of application and made my arrival in Brno smooth. I extend my sincere gratitude to everyone for their warm welcome as well as for their time and presence during my stay. This experience allowed me to fully appreciate both the university’s resources but also what the city of Brno has to offer. Overall, this mobility was not only a significant advancement in my PhD research but also a fantastic opportunity to expand my professional network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
